ELGS Axis Units

Festo ELGS Axis Units can be put into operation without software and are designed for compact and simple linear movements, such as shifting and lifting. As part of the Simplified Motion Series, the cost-effective ELGS units are easy to configure and do not require an external servo drive or control cabinet for installation. This cost-effective lineup includes the ELGS-BS with a loadable ball screw axis unit and the ELGS-TB with a dynamic toothed belt axis unit. Both types feature a covered guide and a loadable, recirculating ball-bearing guide for the slide, facilitating the simplest movement and positioning tasks. These integrated actuators provide an ideal electric alternative for simple movement tasks, eliminating the need for the commissioning process typically required for traditional electric drive systems, which can be complex. Festo ELGS Axis Units are based on a plug-and-work principle and come integrated with Digital I/O and IO-Link as standard.
